So, why is it that we dont have enough people going out there into Western Societies and educating people about Islam, responsibly? I mean, not putting up dawah lectures and lets-convert-you-into-a-muslim lectures, but I mean through lectures, projects, community service etc showing a normalized face of Islam to Western Society and opening up topics on Islam for discussion (which hopefully dont result in mudslinging and violence)?

I mean, clearly, there are a lot of socio-political-economic issues in muslim societies and muslim countries? Why are there not enough civilized debates in public live forums on these issues? Why are there not enough muslim groups in the US, for example? Why are masjids more concerned about moon sightings than reaching out in their neighborhoods to deal with poverty, for example?

I feel like its really easy to sit around and just talk about Islam. Its 10x harder to be a good person, at the end of the day, and is our religious community giving muslims the options to be active in society and doing something good for other people? Whatever the method may be?

I really do not know what the religious community is doing, why they have forgotten abt their actual responsibilities and why they are failed to represent/portray the normalized face of islam. All I know is what my responsibilities are being a person, being a muslim and being a citizen of a country. If everyone just realise his/her own responsiblities, and do the right thing, you wont feel the need to give lets-convert -you-into-a-muslim lectrues to anyone. Actions speak louder than words. I am sure that you cannot change anyone's mindset by reading out from the BOOK. Very hard at least in this period.

I do not talk about anyone else anymore, neither i expect anything from others. All I do is, I keep trying to be a better person everyday. Thats the best I can contribute towards my family, friends, street, town, city, nationally and internationally as well.

Unfortunately the muslim community is not quite united to be able to do something as a collective unit. Individual muslims are pretty good at helping others, starting with the ones that are closest to them. Which is the way it should be.
